Nike Shoe recycling program



Nike has a shoe recycling programme which breaks down your trainers into composite parts that have many potential uses. At the SDS they showed how the material makes excellent flooring for sports centres and running tracks. The broken down material could have many other uses it seems. Someone needs to get sampling.

Leeuwenburgh Veneers sponsor Surface Innovation

The Leeuwenburg Veneers stand at the Surface Design Show showcased the winning projects selected from a sponsored project completed with 2nd Year Surface Design students from the University of Huddersfield. The veneers surface has been manipulated through processes of stitch, print, flocking and foiling, laser cutting and bonding, suggesting  potential applications and design possibilities for the fantastic product that Leeuwenburgh produce.

SPA Laminates at the SDS

SPA laminates had an attractive stand at the Surface Design show. The tree served as a great way to engage with the samples and the branded bottled water kept in cylindrical containers gave much needed refreshment to the dehydrated
