Halo again....Beautiful lighting at designers block
GLO is an ambient light in the form of a ring around a meter in diameter. It is made using a flexible tubular light of 240 LED’s threaded through about 200 plastic bottle tops that have holes punched through them. The light and bottle tops are held within a lightweight but rigid wireframe structure.GLO is also a low energy light using less than 20 watts.

Great Northern Craft Fair October 2011
I visited the Great Northern Craft fair this weekend and was bowled over by the quality of the work being shown. Ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery and lighting the quality was outstanding, you really should put this event in your calendar for next year.
These striking digitally printed textiles by Emma Burton were beautiful to the eye and soft to the touch.
Her website shows how well quality CAD design can work over a variety of products.
Next up is some lovely glass design work by Emily Jackson. Natural elements such as plants and fauna appear to be trapped within the surface of the glass.
Emily styles herself as a glass and community artist, she runs workshops and in January 2012 will be undertaking a residency in Bendrigg Lodge.
Next are these decorative home textiles by Rosie's Armoire
This collection of hand-printed textiles, home accessories and gifts that has been inspired by a family history of textiles, collecting and hoarding although she says inspiration may also have been derived from the occasional visit to the wonderful French ‘brocantes.’
Finally for today I'd like to show you the wonderful contemplative stitched drawings of Ness Donnelly
Ness describes herself as a contemporary embroiderer who uses paper stitch and drawing. These quiet and discreet drawings display a patience and exactitude that could bring on a meditative state
